Certification Overview
The SuperReady to Mentor bundle consists of four brief courses that are grounded in decades of mentoring research. Staff and mentors will learn the core competencies of effective, evidence-based mentoring.
- Building Strong Mentoring Relationships: Develop meaningful, trusting, and enduring connections with mentees.
- Managing Ethical Challenges: Navigate complex ethical situations with sensitivity while upholding professional standards.
- Building Motivation: Supporting Mentee Behavior Change with Motivational Interviewing: Help mentees identify goals, overcome ambivalence, and find internal motivations to change.
- Supportive Accountability: Helping Your Mentees Reach Their Goals: Help mentees maintain engagement in the relationships and goals.
Upon successful completion of the final exam, mentors will be awarded a certificate that can be posted to social media.

Expert Leadership
The curriculum was developed by mentoring expert, Dr. Alexandra Werntz, a licensed clinical psychologist, award-winning instructor, and the Associate Director of the Center for Evidence-Based Mentoring. It was guided by Dr. Jean Rhodes, the Frank L. Boyden Professor of Psychology and founding director of the Center for Evidence-based Mentoring and leading expert on mentoring practice.
