These terms govern your use of MentorPRO Academy at academy.mentorpro.com (the “Academy”), operated by MentorPRO, LLC (“MentorPRO”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account, enrolling in a course, or making a purchase, you agree to these terms. If you use the Academy through your organization, your organization’s agreement with MentorPRO also applies. Where the two conflict, that agreement controls.

1. Accounts and who can use the Academy

You need an account to take courses. You must give accurate information, keep your login details private, and tell us promptly if you think someone used your account without permission. You are responsible for activity under your account. Accounts are personal and may not be shared or transferred. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

2. Courses and access

When you buy a course or the All-Access Pass, you get a personal, non-transferable license to use the course materials for your own learning. Your access has no end date and continues for as long as the Academy offers the course. We may update, replace, or retire content as research and practice change. If we retire a course you have not finished, we will give you reasonable notice before we remove it.

3. Purchases and payment

Prices are in US dollars and do not include applicable taxes. You must pay in full at checkout before you get access. Prices may change, but a change does not affect a purchase you have already completed. Our payment provider processes payments, and we do not store your full card details. When you make a purchase, you confirm that you have the authority to use the payment method.

4. All sales final

All purchases are final and non-refundable once your order is complete, because you get access to course content right away. We will refund a purchase only if we cannot provide the course, or where the law requires it. If local law gives you a right to cancel digital purchases, you agree at checkout that access starts right away and that you lose that right when it does. If you file a chargeback on a purchase you used, we may suspend your account.

5. Organizational purchases and access codes

Organizations buy access for a set number of learners. Each seat belongs to the learner it is assigned to. After a seat is assigned, it cannot be moved to another person, and access continues as stated in Section 2. Organizations pay in full before seats are issued. Access codes are issued to specific programs and may be used only by the people they were issued for. Codes may not be sold, published, or shared outside the program. Organizations that sponsor learners may receive reports on enrollment, progress, and completion for the learners they sponsor.

6. Live sessions

Some courses include live sessions on set dates. If we must reschedule or cancel a session, we will offer a new date or a recording. Sessions may be recorded, and by joining you agree to this. A missed live session is not grounds for a refund.

7. Certificates

Certificates of completion are issued when you meet the requirements stated on the course or pathway page. A certificate records that you completed the training. It is not a professional license, accreditation, or qualification, it does not provide continuing education credit unless the course page says so, and it does not certify competence to any third party. Certificates may be verified through the Academy’s verification page. We may withdraw a certificate obtained through misuse of the Academy.

8. Your use of the Academy

You agree not to copy, record, download, redistribute, sell, or publicly display course materials except as the Academy itself allows; not to share your account or get around access controls; not to upload anything unlawful, harmful, or infringing; not to try to access other learners’ data or the Academy’s systems; and not to use the Academy in any way that interferes with its operation. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms.

9. Intellectual property

Course content, videos, text, images, assessments, and the Academy itself are owned by MentorPRO or its licensors, including the Center for Evidence-Based Mentoring, and are protected by copyright and other laws. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership to you. We may use anything you submit through the Academy, such as assessment responses or feedback, to operate and improve the Academy. You keep ownership of your own work.

10. Educational content, not professional advice

Academy courses are educational. They draw on mentoring research and are designed to inform practice, but they are not clinical, legal, medical, or mental-health advice, and completing a course does not qualify anyone to provide those services. Mentors, mentees, and program staff should follow their program’s own policies and get qualified professional help where a situation calls for it. If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services.

11. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the Academy available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Academy, and may update these terms. If we make a material change, we will post the updated version here with a new date. Your continued use after that date means you accept the change.

12. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The Academy and its content are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the fullest extent permitted by law, MentorPRO and its members, staff, and licensors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Academy. Our total liability to you for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us for the purchase the claim relates to. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.

13. Indemnity

You agree to cover MentorPRO and its members, staff, and licensors for any claims, losses, or costs, including reasonable legal fees, that result from your breach of these terms or your misuse of the Academy.

14. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It forms part of these terms.

15. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Before you start a formal dispute, you agree to contact us and give us 30 days to try to solve it. Any dispute that remains will go to the state or federal courts in New Jersey, unless applicable law gives you the right to bring it elsewhere.

16. General

These terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any organizational agreement, are the full agreement between you and MentorPRO about the Academy. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. If we do not enforce a term, we do not give up our right to enforce it later. You may not transfer your rights under these terms; we may transfer ours as part of a merger, sale, or reorganization. We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control. We may send you notices by email to the address on your account.

17. Contact

Send questions about these terms or your account through our contact page.
