Certification Overview 

The SuperReady to Mentor bundle is a series of four concise, research-backed courses designed to equip staff and mentors with the core competencies of effective mentoring. Grounded in decades of mentoring science, this training provides practical, evidence-based strategies that can be applied across diverse mentoring program settings.

1. Building Strong Mentoring Relationships: Develop meaningful, trusting, and enduring connections with mentees.
2. Managing Ethical Challenges: Navigate complex ethical situations with sensitivity while upholding professional standards. 
3. Building Motivation: Supporting Mentee Behavior Change with Motivational Interviewing: Help mentees identify goals, overcome ambivalence, and find internal motivations to change.
4. Supportive Accountability: Helping Your Mentees Reach Their Goals: Help mentees maintain engagement in the relationships and goals.  

By completing the bundle and passing the final exam, participants earn a certificate in evidence-based mentoring, a credential that can be shared on social media and professional networks to highlight their training and expertise.

Developed by Dr. Alexandra Werntz, licensed clinical psychologist, award-winning instructor, and Associate Director of the Center for Evidence-Based Mentoring, the curriculum reflects the latest research in mentoring practice. The program was guided by Dr. Jean Rhodes, Frank L. Boyden Professor of Psychology and founding director of the Center for Evidence-Based Mentoring, one of the world’s leading experts in mentoring science.
