Supporting Transfer Student Transitions

Transfer students already know how to be college students. What is new is learning how your campus works – its degree rules, its advising system, its unwritten expectations. This course prepares mentors to support that specific transition, with a pre-meeting checklist, questions that surface what a mentee’s transfer experience has actually been like, and message templates for common moments. It also draws a clear line between what you can help a mentee navigate and what you should never guess about, from prerequisites to financial aid.
