These terms govern your use of MentorPRO Academy at academy.mentorpro.com (the “Academy”), operated by MentorPRO, LLC (“MentorPRO”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account, enrolling in a course, or purchasing training, you agree to these terms. If you are using the Academy through your organization, your organization’s agreement with MentorPRO also applies, and where the two conflict, that agreement controls.

1. Accounts

You need an account to take courses. You must provide accurate information, keep your login details private, and tell us promptly if you believe your account has been used without permission. You are responsible for activity under your account. Accounts are personal and may not be shared or transferred. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account; learners under 18 may use the Academy only through a program that has arranged access for them.

2. Courses and access

When you enroll in a course, we grant you a personal, non-transferable license to view the course materials for your own learning. Access to a purchased course continues for as long as the course remains offered on the Academy, unless the course page states a different access period. Access provided through an organization, access code, or group license lasts as long as that arrangement allows. We may update, replace, or retire course content as research and practice evolve; where a course is retired, we will provide reasonable notice to learners who are enrolled and have not completed it.

3. Purchases, pricing, and payment

Prices are shown in US dollars and may change at any time, but a change will not affect a purchase you have already completed. Payments are processed by our payment provider; we do not store your full card details. By purchasing, you confirm that you are authorized to use the payment method provided. Group and organizational pricing is arranged separately and is subject to the terms of that arrangement.

4. Refunds

If you purchased an individual course and have not started it, you may request a full refund within 14 days of purchase by contacting us. Once a course has been started, purchases are non-refundable, except where required by law or where we are unable to provide the course. Refunds for group or organizational purchases are governed by the relevant agreement.

5. Access codes and organizational access

Access codes are issued to specific programs and may be used only by the people they were issued for. Codes may not be sold, published, or shared outside the program. Organizations that sponsor learners may receive reports on course enrollment, progress, and completion for the learners they sponsor.

6. Certificates

Certificates of completion are issued when the requirements stated on the course or pathway page are met. A certificate records that you completed the training; it is not a professional license, accreditation, or qualification, and it does not certify competence to any third party. Certificates may be verified through the Academy’s verification page. We may withdraw a certificate obtained through misuse of the Academy.

7. Your use of the Academy

You agree not to copy, record, download, redistribute, sell, or publicly display course materials except as the Academy itself allows; not to share your account or circumvent access controls; not to upload anything unlawful, harmful, or infringing; not to attempt to gain access to other learners’ data or to the Academy’s systems; and not to use the Academy in any way that interferes with its operation. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms.

8. Intellectual property

Course content, videos, text, images, assessments, and the Academy itself are owned by MentorPRO or its licensors, including the Center for Evidence-Based Mentoring, and are protected by copyright and other laws. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership to you. Anything you submit through the Academy, such as assessment responses or feedback, may be used by us to operate and improve the Academy; you keep ownership of your own work.

9. Educational content, not professional advice

Academy courses are educational. They draw on mentoring research and are designed to inform practice, but they are not clinical, legal, medical, or mental-health advice, and completing a course does not qualify anyone to provide such services. Mentors, mentees, and program staff should follow their program’s own policies and seek qualified professional help where a situation calls for it. If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services.

10. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the Academy available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Academy, and may update these terms. If we make a material change to these terms we will post the updated version here with a new date, and your continued use after that date means you accept the change.

11. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The Academy and its content are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the fullest extent permitted by law, MentorPRO and its members, staff, and licensors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Academy, and our total liability to you for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us for the course concerned in the twelve months before the claim arose. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.

12. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It forms part of these terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersy, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in New Jersey, unless applicable law gives you the right to bring it elsewhere.

14. Contact

Questions about these terms, refunds, or your account can be sent through our contact page.
