Experience 7
I was excited about college and had a pretty easy time making friends and liked my bigger lecture classes. But I felt really uncomfortable in my smaller writing class because it felt like everyone was so smart, and I didn’t have much to contribute. I felt pretty anxious in class and worried about what I had to say, etc. I was worried that people would think I wasn’t as smart as them and would judge me for it. Over time I started to learn that the other students were actually really nice and supportive, and gave helpful feedback on my writing. I started getting more comfortable and by the end of the semester, I felt OK answering and asking questions in front of everyone.
