Experience 4
I was scared to start college because my high school was terrible during COVID. I felt like we lost a lot of learning and connections with remote classes. My ASU classes were huge and I was nervous to ask questions. In one of my classes, the professor seemed nice and said that students had to visit her at least once during the semester during her office hours. So I went to her and asked for help. It was the best thing I ever did. She asked me about myself and told me about a really helpful peer study program that I didn’t know that our school had. I ended up having a good GPA when I graduated and have even started grad school. I’m really thankful for that professor who was so kind – she taught me that it’s actually OK to get the help I need.
