Built on evidence-based practices, it provides training in the eight career readiness competencies identified by the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) through years of research and field observation. Participants also learn to construct a personal “career narrative,” connecting past experiences with future opportunities in a way that supports long-term career success.

Developed through a collaboration between mentoring leaders Jean Rhodes and Alexandra Werntz, the Center for Evidence-Based Mentoring, and workforce development specialists at the Council for Opportunities in Education (COE), this training is part of the pioneering Career Opportunities Initiative.
